Every effort should be made to have a record Amar Nath ji Yatra this year : Hotel Association

While speaking in a meeting with Divisional Commissioner,Jammu Raghav Langar wherein Deputy Commissioner Jammu Anshul Garg, Director Tourism,Jammu Vivekananda Roy were also present the delegation of Hotel and Restaurant Association,Katra ( HRAK ) and Federation of Hotels,Restaurants,Industries and Commerce of Jammu Region ( FHRICJR ) comprising of President HRAK & FHRICJR Rakesh Wazir and Chairman HRAK Sham Lal Kesar said that every effort should be made to have maximum Yatra of Amar Nath ji this year so that the back log of worshippers which have accumulated due to non-organising of Amarnath ji Yatra from last two years due to Covid is cleared and focus should be made to increase the facilities of Amarnath Shrine including best pathways,good helicopter service,good free langars besides in the long run exploring the possibility of Rope ways on the stretches where those can be made so that Yatris may have easy and comfortable Yatra.

Mr Wazir while speaking on the occasion emphasised that the duration of yatra should also be increased by increasing the facilities overthere so that flow of yatra which decreases in just after 20 to 25 days of start of Yatra may increase rather and continue there upon.

He emphasised for online as well as spot registration of Yatra at Katra itself because lot many pilgrims plan Yatra from Katra which is the base camp of 10 million pilgrims visiting every year to Vaishno Devi ji and besides this he highlighted that the Yatris coming to the Yatra of Shri Amarnath ji should not be treated as prisoners and should not be caged in one place and rather should be facilitated to visit the places of pilgrim and tourist interest in Jammu Region including Shiv Khori,Vaishnodevi ji ,Purmandal, Utter Bheni, Suchetgarh Border,Patnitop etc. and restrictions which prohibits them from visiting places of Tourist and Pilgrim intrest around Jammu particularly Shiv Khori, Patnitop, Vaishnodevi ,Suchetgarh Border etc. be removed so that besides facilitation of Yatris, the economy of the area may also increase.

Mr.Kesar emphasised for starting of system which once upon started during turnover of Parvez Dewan as advisor to Lieutenant Governor for fully checking the documents of the vehicles at Lakhanpur and then thereafter pasting of the sticker on the vehicles so that thereafter though the vehicle may be stopped for security check but leaving aside that they be not harassed on pretext of documents check on different locations.Mr.Kesar also raised the issue harassment of Tourists during Amarnath Yatra days who does not remain Yatries of Amar Nath and are stopped at different locations and are not even allowed to proceed to Patnitop,Shiv Khori etc. and said that it should not happen this time.

Divisional Commissioner listened the points raised by representatives of HRAK/FHRICJR patiently and assured that sympathetic consideration will be given to each and every point raised in the meeting and efforts would be made to get those implemented on ground for the facilitation of yatries.
